How Posting Personal Videos Online Can Boost Your Practice

This is an article in it's entirety, that was written and published in the May edition of Massage Magazine. Enjoy!

With the advancement of technology, adding videos to promote your practice is easier than ever and should be strongly considered. To get started, set up a YouTube account at www.youtube.com. Videos that are uploaded here will serve as a storage bank for your video marketing campaign. Suggestions for video content include but not limited to testimonials, personal introduction, sample techniques, self-help education or a tour of your facility or office. Once videos are stored, they can be embedded or linked in a website, linked from an email or other software or sent directly from your YouTube account.

If you are comfortable with computers, why not take full control of this process and get a video camera and tripod. Camcorders with HD quality are very reasonable; otherwise have someone help you create the files that would best promote you and your practice. Before shooting video, do some research and study, review your manual and consider taking a basic class in using your video equipment. This will help give you an acceptable product for marketing. To prepare your video files for YouTube, use the bundled software that came with your computer or download it for free at their websites; Moviemaker and imovie are normally bundled with PC and Apple platforms respectively.

Now let's get your videos posted to your website. Each YouTube video will have a unique embedded code and URL (website address). The embedded code will place a YouTube player on your webpage and a URL will link viewers directly to your YouTube video.

YouTube video URLs can also be used in emails and many software applications such as word documents and powerpoint presentations. In addition, you can send out notifications right from your YouTube account. Lastly, you can group any number of YouTube videos to form a playlist that can be shared in the same manner discussed above.

Videos are easily placed on websites and sent electronically all over the globe. Get your videos launched today -- Utilizing video online can boost your practice and your career.

How To Give the Best Foot Treatment Ever!

Learning how to give a special treatment to the feet can be easier than you think.

For starters, I always suggest you start with a foot bath. Get out a plastic tub large enough for some wiggle room. Get some soapy warm water and a few drops of an essential oil -- either a straight or blended preparation.

I've attached a full presentation (click on title) to this shortened version below.

This version gets right to the meat and potatoes of the matter. The elements that make up a great foot treatment -- joint mobilization techniques and a foot massage routine. Of course there are more extensive versions of this theme and those will be available in due time. Clicking on any image will enlarge it.

7 New videos up on YouTube!!!

Hello touch fans and friends,

Fresh off the press...

Below are the links of the 7 videos just posted on YouTube.

There's more to come, but wanted to get the ball rolling. These videos are excerpts from a candid one-on-one Power Shiatsu Moves Training that was shot towards the end of 2009. This was a practice run and I plan to shoot this series again; tighten up the work tracking, get better lighting and some make-up.

For those that would like a great source for custom mineral make-up blends, visit my friend Lori at www.lorihart.com.

Here ya go...

Vision and thoughts for the day...

Today was a busy day.

Besides the new posts here, I put up part 1 and part 2 in Swedish Massage on youtube.com. The idea is to attract people to this blog to talk about the possibilities with my vision. That is to have a Global Training Site for the masses as well as the budding touch professional.

Let me know what you want besides the free trainings on youtube. I'm considering another website called www.dagiit.com. I have that reserved and would like to have it as a site that is membership driven or on a pay-per-view type of deal.

If that happens, I'll need members and would also consider revenue sharing with other talented touch therapists that would like to join in on my cause.

If you are a talented trainer in touch therapy and would like to share, call or write and let's have a conversation.

I filmed a Shiatsu training today at the office and will be editing that in the coming weeks.
